Frontierbeat covers the frontier of AI — models, chips, the US–China race, crypto, and security. These standards exist so you can trust what we publish.
Independence
We are editorially independent. Coverage is not for sale. We don’t accept payment to report or withhold a story, and we don’t let sources review articles in advance except to verify technical facts.
Sourcing & verification
- Every claim rests on a verifiable source — a paper, filing, release, internal document, or firsthand account.
- We link to primary sources in the piece whenever possible.
- Opinion is labeled as opinion and never presented as fact.
- If we can’t confirm something, we say so. If we can’t confirm it at all, we don’t publish it.
Anonymity & attribution
Sources may remain anonymous when the information serves the public interest and the source faces real risk. We verify the underlying facts regardless of how the source is attributed. We never burn a source’s identity without consent.
Conflicts of interest
Staff and contributors disclose financial or personal interests that could affect coverage. We avoid covering entities we have an undisclosed stake in.
Originality & attribution of others’ work
We don’t plagiarize. We credit other outlets and researchers when we build on their work, and we add reporting of our own rather than repackaging theirs.
Use of AI in our work
We may use AI tools to assist research, transcription, or editing. AI does not make editorial decisions, and we don’t present machine-generated text as original reporting without disclosure. Every published fact is the responsibility of a named human editor.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do:
- We correct the article in the body and add a note — “Updated on [date]: [what changed].”
- Significant errors are flagged at the top of the piece.
- To request a correction, email frontierbeat@protonmail.com with the URL and the error.
Fairness
We cover the frontier without regard to nationality, and we hold the same standard to every lab, company, and government. We correct aggressively and link generously.
